About Us
Who We Are
The University City Xplosion Track & Field Club was organized to provide
development in the area of track & field for youth ages 5 -18.
We provide a venue for children to become acquainted with the sport, participate in
local competition, and compete in regional and national events.  The Xplosion Track
& Field Club is a member of both the
AAU Ozark District and the USA Track & Field
Ozark Association.

Practice
Practice will begin on March 30th 2010. and will be held on Monday through
Friday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m at University City High School track stadium located
at 7401 Balson Road.

Congratulations!!
The U. City Xplosion qualified 38 out of 70 athletes to the 2009 AAU National Junior
Olympics in Des  Moines, Iowa.  

Qualifiers to the 2009 AAU Jr. Olympic
meet were:  

Primaries: Kendall Battle, Arlisha Hodges, Alyx Hutchins, Zuri Reid, and Jalen Head

Sub-Bantams:  Mariama Brown, Jamie Conners, Terrell Powell, and D’Marco Richie

Bantams: Sydney Hutchins, Nia Reid, Jayla Simms, Jada Smoote, Jalen Gaskin, and
JaTonne Terry

SubMidgets: Olivia Davis, JaNia McNeil, Robert Caldwell, and Ricky McCoy

Midgets: Ryan Hunter, Jayla Riggins, Jaryn Blackshear-Bryant, and Malcolm Davis

Sub-Youth:  Raina Brooks, Bryan (BJ) Hodeges, Jr., Christian Rodgers-Smith, and
Joshua Tyler

Youth:   Asiah Allen, Mykal Dean, Elizabeth Jurries, Britton McLaughlin, and Shawn
Whitley II

Intermediate: Amani Borders and Emmanuel Price

Young Women: Renee Goodenough, Olivia Shaddid, Alexander Jamerison, and
Charles (CJ) Johnson

Our Successes
Each summer, approximately 50% of our athletes qualify to the
national AAU or USATF Junior Olympic each year.  We credit this success to our
small team size and the individual attention that each athlete receives.
